If Emelin even backed up his actions once in awhile I would LOVE to have him on the Bruins.

Unfortunately, I just can't get behind him as a man. If you toe the line, be prepared to have to show some dignity.

Must defend Marchand at all costs.

This should probably get moved to the post-game thread? This hit was more harmless than Emelin's on Lucic. If this was anybody other than Marchand, nobody even comments on it.

Biggest difference between Marchand-Salo and the Emelin on Looch is that Marchand got up and was ready to defend himself. Emelin never is, whether it's on Lucic, Gryba, whomever.

I think you mean the exact opposite of this phrase.

I think its obviously encouraged by the habs coach & front office to play the victim and turtle after starting crap. How else do you explain player after player doing it. But I think its affecting Subban (especially his game) more each game, and soon enough he'll erupt, confront Lucic and get beat down. How long can his pride take it? Saw it with Komisarek. Komi kept avoiding a confrontation as long as he could, and then bam! Hope Lucic celebrates the same way he did after Komi. You saw all that collected frustration just being released.

Can't disagree...I think they know it gets under the bruins skin, drives them crazy, and potentially goats them into stupid penalties.

I don't like "low hits" regardless. I didn't like Emelin's hit on Lucic, & I didn't like when Marchand did it.

It seems to me like players these days don't know the proper way to throw a hip check. YouTube "Ray Bourque hip checks". He made it look elegant. Ahh the lost art of the hip check.

Players these days are targeting the knee. Very dangerous. I can see why Lucic was livid. It's unfortunate this type hit is still deemed legal. I think that will change in coming years.

I was just thinking of what would happen if Emelin was in a fight because of one of his actions, which resulted in one of the plates in his face getting broken. Now I wouldn't wish an injury upon any player, so I hope that never happens. But if that did happen, the phone service in Montreal would probably be shut down due to Habs fans dialing 911 and demanding the opposing player to be arrested, even if it was something Emelin did that provoked the fight. In the minds of many Habs fans, you can not touch Emelin no matter what he does because he has plates in his face, and if you do you are a classless goon.

IF Emelin gets special treatment cause he has metal in his head, do the Bs get special treatment cause they have brass balls?

all righty then Mr. Nuff Said McGreevey.

If a B's fan wants to come into this thread and take another verbal whack at that sadsack franchise then who are we to tell them they cant?

Hah I just feel like we have bigger (and fresher) fish to fry at this point.

But don't worry Pie, no one listens to me anyway.

Chara damn near ends Pacioretty's career, leaves him plastered on the ice in need of a stretcher and severe medical help. What do the Habs players do? They just stand there... Well, i guess Scott Gomez frowned a mean face at Z, but that's it. They did nothing, absolutely nothing. Not even the next game, or hell, anytime after that. They just stand around and "hope the league takes care of it" or better yet "let the police take care of it" - If that were the Bruins i'd be absolutely disgusted.

Dennis Wideman's face at Cooke must have been way meaner. I guess Thornton had a ****** fight with him, but he did more damage to himself diving in the corner of the bell center than he did to Cooke in that fight.

Yeah, Rask sure has looked terrible against them recently *eyeroll*

They are a far inferior team that beat us in a skills comp. We outshot them 22-6 5 on 5. They pose one of the bigger threats since Carey Price has shown he can get hot, but we would squish them over 7. Like, they physically wouldn't make it out of the series.

Compares very well with Price and Budaj (respectively) against Boston this year:

1.00 GAA, 0.970
1.95 GAA, 0.938

Budaj gets us. We know price is good. He was trying to make the point That Rask is a reason to have worries. He isn't. Plain and simple.

I'd say the same for your #1 netminder when he is healthy.

Or Budaj, but only against the B's :(
