Took the red pill
So you agree, it should be a penalty. Thanks for the contribution.
So you agree, it should be a penalty. Thanks for the contribution.
Only difference is that it didn't happen during the course of play, and was before the puck drop on the faceoff...and Marchand did it because Julien was trying to get the refs attention.
But thanks for playing.
Ok so the penalty only gets awarded when it's during play and not before and it can also be awarded by a stick breaking and doesn't have to be intentional. At least clarify when posting. Don't get mad at someone posting something with "thanks for playing".
I didn't think I would have to break it down for you, but Marchand couldn't be guilt of interfering with the play, when there was no play to interfere with.
I suppose the ref could have given him an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty...just like they could have given to Pacioretty for breaking the stick on the bench.
Replace "major" with "minor", and "false" with "inadequate for the purpose of conversation according to EverettMike", and I'm sure we can meet somewhere in the middle.
Yes of course. Just funny that the poster chose to point out the MaxPac instance instead of the Marchand.
curious what's next on the flowchart. let me look.
[discuss montreal's stanley cups, many of which were won before your grandparents were alive]
Let's talk about how before the Draft as we know it, the Habs would go out and sign hundreds of prospects to "C-Forms" when they were 13 or 14 before any of the other teams saw them, thus establishing a stranglehold on most of the talent in the QUE province.
As a Bruins fan, i'm so thankful you don't see them do that. It's a disgrace.
Here's my rant for the day about Boston/Montreal physical play:
I work with 3-4 Habs fans, mind you, i'm one of like 4 Bruins fans in my town so i get the storm of Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton fans flappin' their gums.
Canadiens fans are so quick to cry about physical play, seriousy, I have never seen anything like it before in my entire life. It starts in their building too, basically 95% of the time a Canadiens player falls on the ice the crowd instantly uproars in "Booooooo" as if there should have been a penalty on the play regardless of what happened. It's kind of comical to be honest, and sad.
Now, do i think that the Emelin hit on Lucic was dirty? Maybe a little, but for the most part no. I think it's a legal hit, that is a sketchy, maybe even a bit dirty of a play, much like the shoulder to head contact that was once legal, but now isn't. Now, this is what frustrates me here... I guarantee you had Lucic made that same hit on Emelin, and a guy came after him he'd immediately drop his gloves, It's called being a man. How long after that did Miller put Weise into the boards (it was NOT a dirty play, but a bit sketchy to an extent) - Moen comes over and Miller drops the gloves and they fight, once again, it's called owning up and being a man.
Weaver hits Paille ( a guy who's had concussion problems ) high, and to the head. Campbell then goes after Weaver, tugs his jersey to get him to own up, but once again there's a decline. Typical when you play this franchise.
Subban, a few years ago did a fly by on David Krejci hitting him in the head. Ference then comes over, grabs Subban and he turtles to the hit. Once again, i guarantee you if that were Ference making that hit on a star player, he'd own up and fight his battle.
Subban last night takes a run at Boychuk, pops him in the head while he was on the ice. Boychuk then gets up, swings and misses, grabs Subban as he's dramatically palms out screaming for a call, then rag dolls him to the ice, Subban once again turtles. Now, do i agree with him always having to fight? Absolutely not. However, people defending it sayings "Hey, that's awesome, he drew a call!" - Cool, right on, here's your 2 minutes in the box, but here's a clear memory of you acting like a complete fairy to take home with you too.
I remember Josh Gorges bumping into Thornton a few years ago after a Bruins/Habs scrum, what happens next? Thornton looks at him and says "Lets go" - Gorges then turtles, Thornton gets a penalty. It's smart to an extent, but dear god for once just man up, is it that hard?
Now, here's another thing i don't understand and if this were the Bruins, i'd be disgusted with my team...
Chara damn near ends Pacioretty's career, leaves him plastered on the ice in need of a stretcher and severe medical help. What do the Habs players do? They just stand there... Well, i guess Scott Gomez frowned a mean face at Z, but that's it. They did nothing, absolutely nothing. Not even the next game, or hell, anytime after that. They just stand around and "hope the league takes care of it" or better yet "let the police take care of it" - If that were the Bruins i'd be absolutely disgusted.
I just don't get why they hate the physical stuff so much? - They piss and moan constantly about the silliest things. I can't remember the last time that i have seen a Bruins player act the same way a Habs player did with the turtling. As a Bruins fan, i'm so thankful you don't see them do that. It's a disgrace.
lol you are just silly. First you say Boychuk wants to fight PK cause PK isn't a fighter, then you stick a foot in your mouth and prove that PK & Boy have almost the same # of fights. So they are pretty much equal in size & # of fights, yet Boy is a big bully picking on poor little Subban lol
I don't get what a comment like this is trying to prove?
Are you saying that Subban will fight just as much as Johnny Boychuk? Or that Johnny Boychuk ducks away from as many fights as Pk Subban? Or are you being objective just to be objective?
"take that boychuk!"
...
"help!"
...
"hey man, don't know why you're so mad. lot of guys in blue white and red here..."
what makes it even more strange is that i'm guessing a poster with a username of Dennis Bonvie isn't a habs fan.
