The McKenzie panel does their recap during Sportscenter right after the broadcast. They did it and called out Canada for their undisciplined play.

People have said the reason Canada is not undefeated right now is because they're playing (or picked) Easton Cowan... in this thread. Which is what I was criticizing.

I never said he hasn't. I said he was never supposed to carry the team, like people here are suggesting.

Comes down to a coaching issue tbh. He isn't going rogue. He is being asked to carry the puck and drive his line. It's the same as Cameron asking Bonk to be a PP QB when his game just isn't suited to it at all. Setting up these kids to fail in roles they don't even play on their junior teams lol.

They end the game quickly and then cut to Sportscenter and they do their analysis of the game after the highlights. They discussed undisciplined play by Canada, the Americans taking advantage on the pp — Duthie even mentioned that Canada may have left off key players that would have contributed offensively and the controversy surrounding Canada’s roster this year. I wish TSN would discuss that more as Canada has left off a lot of talent this year and Mackenzie kind of avoids the topic out of respect to Hockey Canada.

I think Team Canada has to stop treating the HC position like it's a Civil service job, and get someone new. Either he doesn't know how to coach, or they aren't listening to him. They seem tight, are making bad decisions, and seem to be trying to impress(the coach, their Mum's, their bros?)with fake toughness.

Yeah? Did you expect him to be the best player on the team? He was picked 28th in a team full of top picks. Including Yager, who was top 10 in Cowan's draft.

Yager wasn't drafted top 10. He was picked at #14 by Pittsburgh.
