He took a dumb penalty with a few minutes left in a one goal game, at just about the worst possible time, and didn't have enough of a positive impact to nearly make up for it. None of it has anything to do with who he was drafted by, that just happens to be why you are clinging to defend him.

Well, USA deserved that win. Canada showed nothing different in terms of strengths or weaknesses, so I expect that Anholt and Cameron will continue to cite bad luck and their devotion to sticking to what has been going on.

They should be citing that in that their resignation letters. My dog could coach better.

I typically never feel comfortable as a US fan with any lead against a Canada team but this game was different. They had their chances but it never felt like they were a threat to win the game even tho it was close for most of it. Being extremely undisciplined didn’t help.
