i feel like Hockey Canada tried to be too clever this year with roster selection. I dont know it was hubris or cockiness. Leaving so much skill at home while this team struggles to score will definitely be looked at after the tournament.

it also looks the shot selection against Latvia was a fluke. This is who they are.

Feels like they have a bunch of passengers but no drivers. Like Cowan would be a ideal 3rd wheel on a top line. But he is being asked to drive offense on a top line and I just don't think that is any good.

Why is Cowan getting so much ice time? Dickinson's offensive ability is grossly overrated.

Yeah Dickinson has been a disappointment for a guy who leads the CHL in scoring and points for d-men. Either he has over inflated stats playing for a loaded London team or (what's more likely) the dumb Canadian coaching staff are telling him to play super defensive and completely neutering him. Them not playing him on the PP until Schaefer got hurt leads me to Team Canada neutering him.
