Canada missing Makar and Theodore's puck moving/transition offense from the back end. Doesn't seem like they can create a lot on the rush and they're not much of a threat in the O-zone on the cycle when the puck goes back to the point.

In some ways, it's really difficult to build around the Canadian forwards, especially MacKinnon and McDavid as they have such specialist elite skillsets.
Crosby was always easier to build around because he plays a prototypical centre's game. Same with Bergeron, Thornton, etc. of Team Canada rosters past.
Yeah, I'd rather have MacKinnon and McDavid than not, but it must be frustrating for coaches and even other linemates to try to gel with them.

He’s been solid. I’m not even hating on his play per se. Canada is just so deep at D, and his play coming off injury was an unknown.

It’s amazing to me that Provorov and Werenski were for such a long time comparables, now it’s section 8 housing vs a mansion, ridiculous how good Werenski has become even with the injuries what a god damn stud.
