Why would he have any sort of loyalty to Binnington? He's not a Lightning player lol
then explain why he played game 1 and 2 then? He won a cup in 2018-2019 that is a long time ago. perhaps there is a team canada loyalty to Binnington...he is not even the best goalie on the blues at this point in time...

Binnington must be practicing the same witch craft as dubas, because neither should be associated with this team but yet they somehow mesmerize and charm their way in to it

Laine with 2 goals, Granlund with the OT winner, Finland 3 Canada 2.

...LEGACY pick...Canada does that in every International Tournament...Doughty is also a legacy pick, as is Marchand...HasBeenington is just another example...

Unfortunately for Finland Canada is always the hardest team to win. Let's see if this team can turn it around.

Finland 4-2 and to the finals

I support Cooper and I support Binnington.. Need to come ready tomorrow.
Binnington had two games to showcase what he could bring, sadly he failed with a few softies. No place for error tomorrow and thursday so i would definitely start with Hill who has been the better goalie between the two anyway since Hill's cup run in 2023.

If he gives up 2 and we can't win..we have other issues. So that is where I put my trust in Cooper.

somebody can correct me on this but basically if this game goes to overtime regardless the winner if Sweden beats USA in regulation (a team that has nothing to play for as they already in the championship game) then Sweden is in the championship game after only winning 1 game over 2 teams that beat them?

...yup...so we better put our BIG BOY PANTIES on...

I’m actually cheering for Canada so we get the rematch…on our ice finally.

However, there might not be a team I would less wanna play in win or go home than Finland. Could absolutely see them just playing a suffocating game and eeking this out

On paper, Sweden was the only winnable country for us Finns. Which we somehow claimed.

This should be beatdown from Canada, anything other should not be acceptable to Canada. Even if this gets somehow to just OT, would be big failure for Canada.

Difference in firepower is just too huge to justify any other result.

Binnington was the only goalie not in the optional skate today. I’ll take a guess, that means he is not starting. I mean why would the starter be the only one not on the ice to work on things.

No goalie gets switched after a loss, Canada did the same thing with Brodeur in 2010. Luongo didn't come in until they lost to the US and Marty had a bad game.

So awesome we'll still get a few more of these before it's over. What a fantastic tournament, and so happy to watch our golden generation finally suit up in their prime. Heiskanen better be there next year, too!

Torilla tavataan!

Sorry Finland everyone wants to see the rematch. Think Canada takes this one in a dominant fashion.
Sorry but not
I think goalies make the difference tonight. Lankinen steals the game for Finland. 3-2
As long as somebody wins in regulation. Sweden has not deserved a spot in the finals
