The Siege of Suomi continued in the 2nd. Completely hemmed in their zone and unable to handle the Canadian forecheck and pressure defensively.

I honestly was not expecting this level of domination.

Shots are what 34-7? A lot of the Finnish were just a long distance lob at the night.

Perfetti isn’t much of a scoring threat, even the German goalie was saving all his shots. He’ll have to work on that. I like him though, good puck handler

Heinola just almost gave a free goal to you guys, still praising him though?
He hasn't impressed at all, just some nifty puckhandling at times where he couldn't generate a chance and was pushed to the outside.
 
Glad we made it 3-0 ... and we haven't quit a bit. Hopefully we do not sit back in the 3rd.
They went 3F high in the last game .. I like the pressure

Canada moves the puck too well on the pp just to lose it almost everytime by shooting at the worst moment.

You can clearly see Finland played yesterday and Canada had a day off, kinda surprised Finland is even hanging in there.

Maybe swedish speaking finn is a term that is used for people that speaks swedish daily, then I don't know. But he can atleast speak it since he just did an interview in Swedish

Edit maybe more finnish players speak Swedish than I thought, now Lundell is doing it too :laugh: don't mind me just an ignorant swede, I thought the days of learning Swedish were over

This isn’t a bad Finland team at all. But they are definitely getting outclassed tonight. Canada is ON!
 
C'mon Canada, make it 10. Let's get the humiliation out of the way, so that we go in to the QF with a better attitude.

Well no kidding, that's going to happen. Canada is 100X better than Finland's garbage team this year. Heinola is one of the very few Finnish players who have actually generated anything. That's all.

Perfetti is having an underwhelming tournament. So does that revoke my homer card for your liking?

No it actually is a very bad Team Finland i've been saying it ever since the start go read Team Finland roster thread.
