Out of nowhere, Justin Smith subs on against Barcelona for Espanyol for his first senior appearance. Not only did he sub into the 6 spot but played 30 solid minutes against the best team in Laliga.

He's French born and has repped Canada in youth categories.

Word is Cornelious was stretchered off today. I did not see it and obviously concerned about this.

Ok guys - announcement within 12 hours... last two windows were friendlies and now starts the business of getting players cap tied in the build up to going for the Nations League trophy, Gold Cup and the WC.

Backup striker is still a bit of a black hole although Bair has the most promise. Heads up that Bair's Auxerre and Kone's Marseille tangle at 3:45 Atlantic

Tani has shown no confidence at all but I guess that doesn't say much for Ugbo, Afrifa etc..Jebbison hardly plays for Watford so I don't know if he will ever become an option.

I like Tani more then some of the other names.

Not the greatest finisher, but he makes smart runs and I find his overall off the ball work is better then some of the other options.

CPL finals day.

We are going back to Spurce Meadows to try and win our second title there and fifth in total. Should be a great game for Canadian Soccer in general. My score prediction is 2-1 Forge, with goals from Jensen and Choiniere.

Well the run comes to an end again with no three-peat.

Got to hand it to Cavalry. They played a great game and deserve the title.

Hopefully next year Forge get a little more health down the stretch and find a way to get a striker back in the mix. With no Kwasi this was a different team.
