GDT: Canada - Norway

Haven't watched much this tournament but this has to be one of the slowest Canadian teams I've ever seen.

Just one of the worst teams all-around, aside from the goaltending which hasn't been bad IMO.

LOL, Norway just stuffing the crease/slot with all 6 players.

Amazing that a linesman could see that the Canadian missed that puck by an inch and it was icing but they will fail to see when a player is 5 feet offside.

I don't think this team has the magic.

Just a lot of blah throughout the lineup, aside from maybe Weegar and Monty.

Well, I won't say that was deserved.

Norway was pretty passive though, turtling for the last few minutes, including on their PP.

How was he supposed to avoid hitting him in the head?

It was a normal bodycheck where the guy had his head down.

He didn't charge, he didn't jump up, he didn't leave his feet.

He standing sideways with his feet firmly on the ice.

It's not even an elbow because the elbow is tucked in.

He was clearly watching what the opponent is doing and intentionally hit his head. I know some NHL fans see hockey a bit like ancient Gladiator games but that's a bull***. No player who suffered multiple concussions is giving a *** over these "hockey is a tough game" talks. It is just laughable.

i'll have you know during the canada-slovakia game i walked into the pub just in time to see the winning shootout goal

The idea that Fantilli would suddenly halt all of his forward momentum because his opponent put his head down is ridiculous.

Hockey happens at high speed and is a contact sport, and guys are going to get hit.

It's a fair penalty but to call it a deliberate intent to injure is silly.

Not going to be another FIN-Can final. They are likely to meet already in the QFs.

I would be shocked if this Canadian team makes the finals no matter who they play in the elimination round.
