There it is... Final minute of period goal. Hate those. Not as much as I hate how bad we are playing though .lol. That second intermission should be a nice pep talk.lol

As a Swiss, we have the exact same feeling when we play Sweden :laugh:

Thank God we have come to play today, let's see i they keep it rolling in the 2nd.

Looks like a whole different team today.................so far.
 
Well this year we can al least make an excuse that Canada destroyed us cause we are missing our best players and have a weak team.

But that 6:1 trashing last year in semis with Pasta, Krech, Hertl, Hronek and others on the team is much more worrying lol.

Once again all this is in our heads, dont know when and why this crazy complex begin, but out of sheer logic is not possible to beat teams that are able to beat Canada and than always got wiped out by Canada. It just doesnt make any f***ing sense lol.

Well its always said that whenever Slovaks are playing Czechs, they are already down 0:2 in their heads lol. Same for us and canada, and as you say you and Sweden. I guess everyone has that one opponent from which they always completely shit themselves when they have to face them :D

Today I have the feeling that zeros are playing for us. Again. I do not know why. Canada doesn't have a team here to make hockey look like this. Another shame.

Tough period for sure but you've got to think the worst is probably over as far as dealing with the initial wave of dealing with an embarrassed and motivated Canada. They can get a breather now, have the coach settle them down an focus on playing the way they want to, after all.........they managed to get out of that only 1 goal down and that's not bad, it's reversible.

Still 40 minutes left in the game.

I think the Norway game was a bit of a wake-up call for Canada - we'll see if it is maintained or not.

First period could be a wake-up call for the Czechs too.

While they were never going to wow you with offensive wizardry this year , almost any Canadian team is capable of playing a hard forecheck/backcheck game.......................we have been waiting for them to do so.

But it takes bearing down and hard work, which was always up to them, that first period we finally saw it.

I understand the single-minded commitment to getting off the ice for a substitution while play is in progress, to avoid the too many men penalty, but sometimes it looks hilarious as the puck goes by behind the guy.

Well, there it is.

That didn't take long. Awful line change there.

Nice, was just going to say, the Czech team is trying hard but just look a step behind, what they always end up relying on is the individual qualities of their forwards
