That was quite different. Canada still had a dominant hold over systems play but for whatever reason they couldn't come together as teams.

But over recent years (5-10), Canadians have lost their coaching, goaltending, physical, and scoring edge. HC's insistence on their development model has really messed with creativity.

But over recent years (5-10), Canadians have lost their coaching, goaltending, physical, and scoring edge. HC's insistence on their development model has really messed with creativity.

Canada has had a couple of noticeably lean years in the draft in a row. The last strong Canadian draft was the 95's....and we won Gold. All it will take is a few strong draft classes and everybody will be chilled out again and the 00's and 01's look strong.
