I do not disagree. I'm more just stating that the NHL (and any other org) arrives at a mature set of rules typically through teams exploiting loopholes (i.e., NHL salary cap rules). They didn't really think of a few items for the 4 Nations and it results in gray areas.

To extend your thought experiment on entertainment being the primary factor, Canada should be able to call in Wilson if he's healthy and able to make it to Boston. It would be good for the fans since the opening set of fights are what drove ratings on Saturday and the buzz afterwards.

Ironically, in Burlington, ON, I'm about the same distance from Boston as Wilson is (assuming he's in Washington).

The regular snow is easy enough with a shovel. I agree with you BTW. For instance, raking leaves takes exactly the same amount of time as using a leaf blower, so why not get some exercise? The difference with the snow is when the plow comes by and fills in the end of your driveway. It turns to concrete after a couple of hours and they love to come by when you're sleeping. I'll take the snowblower.

Leaf blowers are more trouble than they are worth. Snow blowers are the same unless, like you said, you are dealing with snowplow street snow and then you wish you had one.

When is comes to raking leaves, these are the best / simplest solution...

There were a lot of opinions that we needed more defensive players than secondary scoring, and the way I'm seeing it, we're pretty much solely dependant on 97, 29 and 87 to score. They probably could have used the leading Canadian goal scorer to provide some much needed secondary scoring.

Oh well. It doesn't matter at this point. Here's to hoping Cirelli, Hagel, Jarvis et al find their games and are a big part of Thursday's win.

You are 100% right. They looked cooked out there when McDavid and MacKinnon couldn’t generate speed through the neutral zone. Tightest 1-2-2 I’ve seen in a LONG TIME. I will say that Point is up there with those guys in terms of generating offence.

Scheifele and Thomas should have been there instead of Cirelli and another guy. Jarvis, Marchand, Hagel, Cirelli, Bennett, Konecny. I mean how many of those players do you want?!? They went overkill.

Understand them not taking Bedard. Would have loved to see his shot on the PP and him playing with some actual talent. Not the biggest snub by any means.

I would legit be stunned if it gets even close to the 2010 Olympic final. Don't think there is a chance honestly.

9 AHL games. 2 WHL games and 1 OHL game happening today to get your required fix.

End of the day if you are going to beat them, get the excuses out of the way. Beat them with their best.

We have more times to take them down also, next February 2026 and apparently 2028 is a go! Just missing taking on the Russians.

Sanderson in and no Hughes.

They are starting to get nervous and taking their eye off the ball. I do understand their nervousness though, things seem to be unravelling slowly on the U.S side.

You might be right but I think they are.

Tzachuk is definitely not 100%, matthews has been dealing with something all year and it seemed to be a question of how ready he was to go even for this game, Mcavoy is out and that is a huge loss for them and hey they lost their final game before the final, a game they were supposed to win regardless of missing guys and hitting posts or not.

That has to be concerning for them and I think it shows with the war that is going on concerning roster spots right now.

You bring 7 D just in case right? You are only dressing 6 at a time. We only needed Harley because we went down to 5 and we would have preferred 100% to have Makar in there but he couldn't go.

pretty much, hey......Quinn bowed out of this tourney and they replaced him with Sanderson, they have 6 d primed and ready to go, they can't fly Quinn in unless they go down to 5, simple as that. That's the rules.

bitching about it now is useless no matter how much they want to say about growing the game( which is ridiculous because that is not what this bitching is all about), best on best or whatever else they are saying over there to try get around them.

And yes, if the reverse were our circumstances currently we would be hollering just as loud...................but it doesn't change the rules.

Time to play hockey now, that's all we are concerned about up here.
