Oh for sure, but ultimately it’s a consistent issue we refuse to address
are you talking about right after the game?
Cause you can’t take f*** all what people say in the heat of the moment, that late at night with beer in their bellies seriously.
Look at the majority of the posts the day after and you get people’s true feelings.
And ultimately there have been far worse defences in the playoffs in the past 30 years, Skinners the worst goalie in the last 30
I stopped reading the PGT after the 3rd page. Embarrassing.
I do agree that this board goes way off the deep end after a loss.
Regarding the defence..Nurse is inconsistent...he cant be relied upon. WTF was he doing up along the boards near the blueline on the 2nd Kings goal? No excuse for that in a tight 1-0 game. then Bochard just watches Byfeild skate in on net and roof the puck. A puck that very few goalies would stop.
Many posters on here still blame Skinner for that....lol
Anyway...Bouchard is garbage....he is a liability. When he isnt coughing up a puck in his own zone because he seems to have no sense of urgency...he just stands around watching the other team score all too often.
So many examples of that and not just in this series.
Walman is inconsistent as well....sometimes good...sometimes not so good.
Kulak is a very good #5 dman. Usually a very consistent player. A player a coach can rely on.
So thats one reliable player on D.
Emberson is a whole lot of meh.
Doesnt do anything particularily well.
Klingberg was the best defender in the game last night.
Without Ekholm this is not even a playoff caliber defence IMO. His loss exposes the rest of this defence.
Now lets look at the offence...aside from McDavids superhero act....what the f*ck has the offence done?
Exactly nothing.
How many difficult saves did Kuemper make in last nights game...how about none.
The PK was a fail...so was the PP.
Discipline was a fail. Gamesmanship was a fail.
This is why most of my energy is being spent talking about the other 10 things that were bad in spite of the goaltending.
