They should truly consider sitting one or both of Nuge and Hyman game 3 to make a statement. The only way this team turns this series around is via a proper f***ing wake up call. And that might be it. Problem is there are too many guys who deserves to sit. Frederic, Henrique, Brown, Nuge, Hyman as a start. Arvidsson had a major mistake and was terrible game one but overall in this game he at least showed some life. Janmark is playing well. Perry is doing his thing but can't handle too many minutes. Kane looks rusty and his hands are stiff as hell but he's trying and should be better next game. McDrai deliver.

The D group are what they are, not a lot of options until Ekholm and Stecher return. Ekholm can't heal fast enough. The main positive from this game was how good Klingberg looked, exceptional with the puck on his stick and while he certainly can't move like in his prime which makes him a liability against the rush he was positionally sound and had good awareness defensively all game, if he can keep this play up he's quality.

The goalies are uhm...an issue. Can they play Samuel Jonsson? Only goalie in the system having a good season...
But seriously Pickard has to start next game. Right? RIGHT?

I've been banging the drum and citing the stats that say Skinner is decidedly shit for over two years my guy.

He's currently 16th, last, in the playoffs in GAA, goals saved above expected, and save percentage.

Not really surprising either because he was ranked 67th, 65th, and 57th in those three metrics during the regular season.

If you're a 1B you'd expect all those numbers to be in the 20s. Statistically he's a 3A - most teams have two guys that are better. The exception was Colorado and they went out and got Blackwood.

Thats the last game we're losing in round 1. I know it sounds delusional, but we all know they were limping into the playoffs, with zero momentum and more than a handful of players missing the last 4-6 weeks

The Kings are the best home team in the league, but the worst one on the road of all playoff teams. They have never gone up 2 games on us, it takes experience and maturity to close that deal, as it is infinitely harder to win the latter 2 games. And this Oilers team has experience in coming back in a series as they did 3 of 4 rounds last year.

It will be a completely different script on Friday. Do NOT lose faith comrades. This start was expected, but now the ball comes home court, and the momentum will shift dramatically. Also noticed the Kings are streaky. When they win/lose, it in bunches

Remember, like round 4 last year, it takes 4 wins to clinch a series, not 2. This is FAR from over, and i wholeheartedly believe that was the last game we're losing in round 1. But the key? Pickard. Skinner is now the backup. He's money in games 4-7, so maybe reserve him for the latter half of the series. Friday cant get here soon enough
