Tavares has never really had stellar linemates and he's still done extremely well, great player and to me he isn't as far away from some of the more prestigious guys like Crosby. Maybe he'll be a bit like this generation's Hawerchuk.

Well... the good news is other than the snubs, we can hold our heads up that young guys like Gaudreau, Matthews, Eichel, Jones, Ghost, etc will/SHOULD make future USA teams which will make them a hell of a lot stronger.

As long as their is a different brain trust who prioritizes skill over grit. If not.. guys like Tom Wilson are a lock to make future USA teams.
