Question while we're at it, would you consider the USA your biggest rival in hockey?
Internationally? Sure. In the days of the Soviets it was them but nowadays probably USA.
Other teams give us much trouble too though, Finland & Czechia in particular.

honestly 1-4 after 40minutes against tournament co-favourites is still not too shabby all things considered, even if Canada have a reputation for starting WCs slowly...
Brits still skating hard. Canada looks to be coasting a little. They know they've got this in the bag really, so I don't blame them.

GB has been impressive. Not the biggest or most talented, but you can tell they know the game. Good hockey IQ and vision all around.

I like how Britain has stayed in the game. They haven't really broken from their structure and they are competing. Obviously they are going to struggle talent to talent but it's been a very respectable effort so far.
I've really liked Zellweger for Canada. He's always good internationally.

Canada needs to figure out their PP lines. What they had running today won't cut it if they want to win this tournament.

Respectable effort by Britain. Sort of a sleepy game for Canada but the effort was decent for the first game.

Man is Bunting ever a diver. Canadians played really disjointed imo. Brits showing they can keep up with the pace now in elite after staying up and gaining more experience through the years.

Really like the British team. I really hope the UK as a whole continues to make strides in the game. Fun to see.
Impressed by Great Britain's performance. Very mature, well organized, but also with a considerable amount of skill. I knew Liam Kirk was a great player, but today I was particularly impressed by the Great Britain's defensemen. They were really good, strong on their skates in physical battles and confident with the puck. Britain definitely isn't doomed to relegation if they can continue like this.
