Campbell can be bought out next Summer if he's still garbage. They will give him more time. Not his fault the forwards want to score 6 a game and aren't helping out the bad defense. They've also played arguably the toughest schedule in the League so far and are 7-5. Too many overreactions.

Why is Campbell getting so many games with Skinner there? Looks like they should be going 1A/1B tandem.

Oilers thought they were getting the second coming of Tim Thomas. But yeah, he's been a good backup all his career and one decent regular season in Toronto lands him a huge deal. Very poor decision by desperate Oilers management.

Yeah, can you imagine if a company agreed to pay you 25 million to spend the next 5 winters working in Edmonton, and then just a few short months later said you'd now have to spend the next 5 winters in L.A.?!?!

What what a bunch of dicks, a company paid me way more then anyone else, then shipped me from Edmonton to LA, I wish my employer was this much of a dick

For sure, Oilers fans were acting like they fleeced Toronto for Campbell. Meanwhile, Toronto literally showed him the door.

No chance in hell LA touches that
yep the only reason oilers would do it would be get a shorter contract and not many UFAs would look at Edmonton for a few years

no we didn't we thought he was an upgrade over what we had. The Skinner/Campbell duo is better than the Koskinen/Smith Duo.

So how is the TO combo doing--still a step up from Campbell?

He was never good.
That’s not true. There’s a reason he was drafted so highly and another reason he managed to steal the net from Andersen. Campbell can be amazing for stretches of time. Unfortunately he’s also the definition of inconsistency. Some theorize it’s nerves, while others think it’s injuries. Regardless he’ll probably be lights out for another chunk of the season. The problem is that it’s hard to figure out which Campbell you’re getting.

Hell no, Campbell wouldn't be traded so soon after signing or goodluck with other UFA. Additionally, I can definitely see why LA wouldn't want to touch Campbell and Petersen is the absolute last thing we want.

Lmao no we didn't.
