Calling Kyle Turris but he ain't pickin up.

He's too busy delivering his fair share to the team to be blabbering on the phone. Give him a call after the stanley cup final :)

He has been coming up big for us so far in the post-season. With Spezza coming back tomorrow it can only help his chances to thrive.

No matter how bad some of his games were this season, this season was a huge mixed blessings for us. He's learned and improved so much better compared to the player he was before. This also applies to 90% of the rookies we have. Just a phenomenal learning year that you build championships from.

So much pressure off the shoulders of Turris. Hopefully he is able to refocus back in the role he is most comfortable and be a little more effective.

I think this thread should be renamed the "Kyle Turris Appreciation Thread".

Let's be honest, no one thought he'd be able to take on a number 1 center role and keep us out of the basement, yet he played his role well enough that without our star D, and star goalie we made it to the playoffs. Helped us through the first round just long enough for reinforcements to arrive.

Man has game, and I can't wait to see how much he develops over the next couple years.

people who say spezza, adds two stars by comming back because he can restart michalek, WRONG, Spezza, Adds three stars, if you saw how kyle turris was destroying his competition tonight, winning them faces and looking just beautiful, I DONT CARE, he's scoring 70 points next year, and hes gonna prove that third overall

Turris isn't a Spezza replacement which is what we forgot during the injury time. Turris is a more defensive player that can play offensively. He isn't a #1 guy, and you see how in the #2 slot when he doesn't have all the pressure on him he played better offensively than I have seen in ages.

He's also 23 years old. Has never played a 'full 82 game season' yet. Career high in games in a season is 65. He's played 2 half seasons for us. I'm excited to see him play a full one.

Tremendous growth. Tippett wouldn't play him because he thought he couldn't play defense. Pffft...

Even if he never becomes a true #1 C, he's got a great contract, works hard, can be effective at both ends of the ice, and is clutch as all hell.

Hang on to him.
