Interesting point. I didn't realize there was that clause in the CBA.It's not that simple.. teams have to have ticket prices at a certain point im order to collect revenue from the league.

Though it sounds like if you don't meet the criteria you can still get the revenue sharing you basically just get homework. You have to present a 3 year business plan to improve the team's financial position.
I wonder what the NHL considers the league average ticket price to be and how they calculate that.
EDIT: I found one article that cites Seatgeek as saying the average NHL ticket price in 2022 was $94.
