Enough about Pearson. Kid hasn't done crap in weeks.
"He's leading the league in rookie goals and points" to...

"He's tied in rookie goals" to...
"He's leading in shooting percentage"...
Soon it'll be "He's leading the league in rookies named Tanner."

For the posts last game that asked me if I ever played or understood any hockey, but here's what I posted, and I could swear I just listened to Jim Fox just give a seminar on McNabb about this same thing:
These hits are impressive! But, after awhile, there won't be too many experienced players in the league, and more so our conference, and even more so our division, that are going to walk right into these hits like we keep seeing! The smart play on McNabb will become to entice him to start to come over, flip the puck deep sooner, and then either avoid him to the left and apply pressure to beat him to the puck, or protect yourself and take one for the team, but McNabb will either be in the box, or he will abort, and be left out of position!! DD can make these exact same hits if he wants to try, but players that have seen him a lot are looking for it!
[Edit] [Reply] [!!]
Well there are times that Fox gets pretty carried away just to hear his own voice. Sometimes he'd be better to just put a lid on it and allow some silent air time. He jumps in everytime Bob just stops to take a breath
Bollig is such garbage.
2 pts in 29 gms, 16 in 154. Absolute POS who does not deserve to be in the NHL. Should be flipping burgers with that dumbass look on his face.
Probably so. I'm sure Bob appreciates Jim being such a motor-mouth, but I think back to the days that Jiggs McDonald was the play by play announcer (long time ago) but, it wasn't necessary to keep that constant chatter going.I think as Bob is getting older and stumbling more, Fox Sports might have told Jim to talk more.
That's fair! I tend to think he leaps out of position defensively too much at times to make these hits! Like, try counting up the number of times he starts to move towards the boards, the pass comes back to the middle, and then there is more of a 2 on 1 but in the middle of the rink. I'm not trying to detract his successes, but these are pro hockey players, and they will catch on! The actual hits are absolutely great when they connect! But his attempts don't always keep him in good position defensively!! On the other hand, there's the thought of dishing it out, and wearing teams out, and there is something to be said about that as well! So, I'm not completely void of thinking that there's no value to these hits. There definitely is!!Except where Fox was praising McNabb, you seem to leap in out of nowhere to detract from his successes. With enthusiasm(!!!).
He is having a pretty good night so far IMO. Using his speed to get some decent chances, being used on the PK a bit.
Solid game tonight so far.
His borderline hit has sparked the Flames, he's doing his job.
Nothing to do with him. Bad penalty by Jeff and unlucky bounce for the goal. Still being outshot to hell.
Also not a borderline hit. Interference and intent to injure.
