The start is one of the best ever, to join the best all-time club he needs to dominate and win more trophiesDude, Cale Makar is already one of the best D-men in NHL history.

No points since Mackinnon went down. #NotGenerationalMakar is projecting a point a game even with the roster turnover and injury casualties. Pretty amazing.
yeah... but hes only 5'11''So, he's pretty decent at hockey?
FFS. Ship him to Arizona.yeah... but hes only 5'11''
Great to have another Barrie that can't play defense
Falling after his Calder. Tyler Myers 2.0
He just wanted to avoid a 2$ fine freaking divealanche.Just want to come and say that it was a classy move of Makar declining that penalty.
We should take them at their word, they are, after all, the experts.I've rarely, if ever, heard the Montreal media praise a player as much as they praised Makar since the last game.
A few examples (from different analysts/journalists):
"To watch him play is like watching poesy"
"Controls the ice like we've never seen before"
"Bobby Orr with Nicklas Lidstrom defense"
"Is the best defenseman in the NHL and he's alone on top"
"Is to defensemen what McDavid is to forwards"
"He has all possible attributes maxed: skating, hockey IQ, shooting"
Seriously, it's quite something.
He's doing quite well considering he's got a human boat anchor as his defensive partner this year.
He's creating a ton of chances and getting a lot of shots to the net, but no one (other than Mikko) can finish right now. This is a weird mixture of bad luck for him and everyone else in a scoring slump. If we can start actually getting some of our 35+ shots a night to go in, I'm sure his offensive numbers will go back up.
All lies.I've rarely, if ever, heard the Montreal media praise a player as much as they praised Makar since the last game.
