Tweaked something last night and left in the 3rd period. Doesnt seem serious.

However he Has battled injuries throughout his NHL career. Missed 22 games in 2022. Never played 82 games. Is it bad luck? the way he plays? his body?

Injuries range from: Concussion, Shoulder, Hip, Wrist, Groin, Ankle

Doesn't seem like there's one consistent nagging injury that's harming him. Likely just bad luck.

I remember people used to call Kevin Bieksa injury prone because he had his calf cut by a skate twice, leading to long recovery times.

Sounds like a hockey player
Bergeron, Crosby, Matthews, McDavid, Marchand, Messier, Markov, Subban, Letang, Eichel, Bossy, Big Buff , Yzerman, Clark, Pacioretty, Gallagher, Hughes, Stone, Stampkos, Forsberg, ...play hard and play long enough , and play a lot of play off games they rarely play full seasons. Doesn't make them necessarily "injury prone"
Play on the perimeters and you can avoid that for the most part.
But it does make what guys like Phil Kessel did all that more amazing when ya think about it. They don't refer to those few guys as Ironman for nothing.

Meh not really; a bit unlucky maybe.

Over the past 6 seasons he’s played 328 games which is absolutely fine, Josi has 358 and Quinn Hughes has 371, so yeah he’s missed a bit of time, but he also still leads all defensemen in scoring over that time period.

I’d be worried if he had a lingering back issue or something, seems just like a variety of stuff.

Agreed. But I wonder if it's also the team he's on. Don't quite a few of the Avs top players often miss some games? I'm not pointing purely at Landeskog. I haven't looked it up, but don't Mack and Rantanen often miss a few games here and there?

I wonder if it's potentially a system related thing. I wonder how Avs rank year to year vs other teams for man games lost. I read their injuries this season are already pretty dire?

A system thing? How about a "hockey" thing. A "NHL" thing. All teams deal with injuries. Its not like the Avs play some system that gets their players hurt more often than other teams. Its just bad luck when it hits a certain team hard any given season. I mean if anything you'd think a more physical/hard hitting team full of bruisers and goons would be dealing with an injury problem based on their own making/choice of style of play. And thats definitely not the identity of this Avs team we're talking about here.

As long as he's not Sami Salo levels. Guy wasn't fragile, but he even got injured from a snake bite.
