He plays with mcdrai. Very talented offensively. 53 assists

Cale makar is one of the best defensemen in the past 50 years. He’s 6 calendar years older than hutson and just finished his 6th nhl season. He plays with nathan mackinnon and whatever combination of rantanen and necas, playing on his correct side wiith devon toews as his partner. He only managed to record 62 assists in 80 games this year

Hutson recorded 60 assists playing with savard, xhejac, matheson, struble and guhle. His best partner was guhle but hutson played his off side because they both are lhd.

All while learning the nhl game in his first year.


Nhl has been around for over 100 years, tell me why only 2 defenseman have ever recorded 60 assists in their rookie seasons? Because it’s very very very difficult to do.

I want to start by saying I think Hutson should win the Caldar.

But, I would be really interested in guessing how Celebrini and Hutson stats would look like if they switch teams with each other. Of the 66 points Hutson has, 60 is assist. Of those 60 assists, 35 are secondary. I imagine there wouldn't be many assists if Hutson was playing in San Jose.

I made the guess earlier of about a 10 point swing either way


Celebrini finishes a couple points over ppg, say 29-45-74 in 70 with mtl vs 25-38-63 with sj

Hutson probably finishes with 45-50 assists instead of 60 with a few more goals

Instead of 6-60-66 he goes 8-48-56 with the sharks.

The voting would be very very close but celebrini wins because of canadian kid in canadian market

It takes a special type of player to crack the San Jose roster. Key attributes include a pulse and a nervous system.

The Habs were literally a bottom 5 team last season, added Hutson, and are now in a playoff spot. He obviously isn't the only change from last year, but he's definitely the biggest one.

The NHL will add video review for these types of plays in OT. That was discussed after it happened. There is talk of a 2 x strikes you are out (penalty) and / or moving the faceoff to the offending team's zone.

(don't ask me how i know this).

You probably don't know what man to man defence mean.....MTL is playing man to man for the last 3 years.
