It's unlikely Ak Bard would want him for their VHL team though.

For the main club.

According to this interview, (albeit through Google translate) the GM admits they're looking at trade options but deny Morozov refused to sign an extension:
Роман Ротенберг: Клубам стало сложнее удерживать в КХЛ мастеров высокого класса (фото)

Interestingly he seems to be taking a shot at Vegas by bringing up Shipachyov.

edit: and something about Gusev going back to SKA?

Yes but their VHL team is losing the game you were talking about which in no way relates to Morozov or his possible trade.

And, upon reading it, Rotenberg implies Morozov came to the camp out of shape more than anything else in the interview. That is somewhat of a red flag but there is little to no chance SKA actually trades him. He's one of the best Russian centers in the league already.

There's a rumor that Morozov may be traded to AK Bars after the game today. SKA-Neva is currently beating them 3-0. Their main club looks to be a little weak at C so it would make sense and a good change of scenery for him.

As I finish writing this it's now 4-0.
Morozov is a KHLer. No one in their right mind would want to trade for him and stick him into the VHL. Also AkBars is in no desperate need of centers and while a player like Morozov would be a shame to miss out on I don't think there is any truth to the rumor. Probably another fake to stir the scandal pot. The fact that he wants to go to NA decreases his value drastically. A one year reantal.

He was back with the main squad in the KHL today. Played alright. Tight, low-scoring game that didn't have too many big opportunities. That said, SKA is better with him than without him and he brings a much needed offensive threat.

Had no chance for making Olympics eh?
Given how effed up his season was... Maybe we will never know if there was a personal feud going on behind the scenes at SKA, but it sure looked like it. Anyway as he wasn't playing in the KHL enough this season you might put it that way, tha he barely had a chance to make it. Russian selection was pretty weird in general. And that also might be due to COVID protocol cases. Then there is the ususal subjectiveness by coaching staff. They seem to have a love for Semenov who came from the AHL late and hasn't shown much in the KHL and he is on the team somehow. Not that he is atrouciously bad, but his resume sure does not look better than that of Morozov. Semenov also plays for Avangard so the usual conspiracy theories about SKA players being prioritized by Rotenberg or whoever do not work here. It's just for some reason coaches think Semenov is their man and Morozov isn't.

What's the % likelihood we see Morozov play in the NHL this season?
Depends on injuries but I like his odds. Vegas needs cheap labor.

Vegas’ forward depth chart:

March-Eichel-Stone
Stephenson-Karlsson-Smith
Carrier-Roy-Kolesar
Leashychyn-Howden-Amadio

They are definitely going to need one or two prospects to step up. So, if he can surpass Brisson, Dorofeyev, or Cotter at any point in the season he will get games.

Manninen is most likely planned for a 3rd line role, signed at league min.

Which leaves a 3rd line role Vegas would rather want a prospect step up to the plate than play Amadio/Kolesar.
