Pack your shit Matt…time to feel the Amerks playoff vibes from the pressbox.

Well, at least he has a couple of days to make it to Rochester.

Sorry his season ended too early, though.

Because he hasn’t had one practice with the team and they’re in the conference championship after scoring a thousand goals last round?
Sure but he is going to get practices in before they start. I don’t really watch Rochester but would he not be a massive upgrade to some fourth liner?

If Savoie is in practice enough to make an impression right now to push into the series against Hershey, great. They probably give him some time - the Ice season end is going to sting as they lost their league final and a chance to go to the Memorial Cup.

That said, Olischefski and Warren have been excellent in their roles so it isn’t as straightforward as just dropping someone new in.

You don’t have to say you haven’t watched Rochester. That was clear.

There's always an adjustment when you move up a level. Expecting Savoie to step into the AHL and immediately make a difference in a playoff environment is a lot to ask.

Unlikely he plays imo. Only scenario I could see is if the team lays two eggs on the road, he jumps in for a spark after a couple days rest and some practices.

The other option is if someone goes down injured, especially one of their centers.

In the meantime, being around pros and being at practice, being part of the feels for this team will probably do him good after pouring it out in the WHL Finals.

Without much other than a single day off once the Amerks-Hershey series starts over the first four games at least, I'm curious what practices he might work into to see if he's ready.

He'll be amped up, and running on adrenaline, and asking like crazy to get into games. I imagine, he'll get some game time in game two or three.
