Exactly. Briere was 5'10' and pretty freaking hard to move around the net. Tough as nails, ready to spear anyone screwing with him. Cozens is five inches taller, and I would be happy to bet he never measures up to the same grittiness. I like Cozens, but he's a bit string bean-like. Cozens is no wimp, but he lacks a real physical presence. He's just not thick. I doubt he ever will be.
Briere was 5'9''

Savoie is listed as the same height on EP and is 5lbs heavier, definitely has some mass to him.

I'm not asking to see them but if Savoie is built anything like St. Louis we're in great shape - and so is he.

His initial burst is the best for sure…but I could watch Skinner skate all day. For function…Savoie is probably the best. For pure beauty…Skinner should be hanging in a museum. Bryson is also great

Skinner seems like he just floats on the ice. You can definitely see his figure skating background when watching him.

Fun fact: JJ Peterka was traded for Matthew Savoie’s brother. Kind of. The picks we traded to move up and select Peterka were used on Thomas Bourdelau (by the Sharks) and Carter Savoie (pick traded to Edmonton in a separate trade)

Man it sucks we're not going to be able to hear RJ call, Brière-style: "MATTY SAVOIE! MATTY SAVOIE! MATTY SAVOIE!"

Further possibilities:

A. “Oh boy oh boy it’s Matty Savoie!”
B. “Bring the joy! Scores Savoie! Sabres win!”
C. “You want a hatty? You call on Matty! Oy, it’s Savoie, scoring his 3rd, forget what you heard, flip the f***in bird- on top of a cop car, bitch I’m a rockst-“
“Alright, and that’s RJ everyone!”

Kid has skills for sure. He can even no-look write.
Am I the only one that rates the pen used to sign contracts? Teams have to step up their pen game. Life changing contract signings need an elite pen.

Hard to be patient waiting for a forward of his talent level to be nhl ready but let him heal up and give him one more year in junior and see how he looks in camp next year.
