does Kidney have any top 6 potentiel?
He definitely has top 6 skill, at the present moment he's kind of one of those top 6 or bust types. His defensive game still needs work and he needs to continue to get stronger and improve his skating. At this moment it's hard to project him in a bottom 6 role outside of maybe an offensive exploitation line. Maybe he improves on these things and becomes more well rounded but for now he's not the kind of guy you want on your 3rd or 4th line.

He definitely is exactly this, I think he ends up becoming a trade chip as I don't see him being better then either suzuki or dach even today

Absolutely. He's an extremely skilled offensive prospect.

That's pretty much what he needs to reach. He's not a guy you're going to want in your bottom 6. Top 6 or bust kind of guy.

He has great skill and vision. Needs to improve his strength and skating to make it at the pro level.

He's the 2nd most skilled/best player in the QMJHL this year, but with regards to pro potential he's behind quite a few guys who aren't as impressive or dominant offensively at the QMJHL level. Behind 4/5 guys on his own team, while being the best player nearly night in, night out.

If he can figure it out and find a staple in a top 6, you're going to have a 50ish point guy, because if you're not getting that, it's hard to see a spot for him in the league.

Of course that's what you'd expect from a guy that is as good offensively as he is, if there weren't serious questions about translating, he's a top 10 type pick. That's the risk they Habs took, and it was a perfectly fine risk, as the reward is an offensive top 6er in the late 2nd.

He is a really good playmaker. I look forward to watching his development in the coming seasons. He needs to improve his overall game, but if he can do it, the potential is quite high.

As a Habs fan I wanted us to trade him for someone like Tristan Luneau earlier this year but it’s probably too late for that. I just feel we have to many similar players and his bust potential seems pretty high.

it's been a rough go for him since turning pro but he's shown some progress so far this year, will have to keep working on adding a good bit of speed, mass, strength still though. Good vision/playmaking though.
