Why do you think that, ASU isn’t a terrible program. He played for a horrible program for the last 2 years. His team had 3 wins this year. I just hope he goes to program where he can actually produce like he’s capable of producing.

His NCAA stats have been underwhelming but Miami was terrible, which was a big factor. Not that he's a star player, and I'm not his biggest fan, but it's an excellent get for the Spartans. I really hope they can continue to rebuild their program. They're such a storied program and it'll be great for college hockey if they return to prominence.

Seems like injuries have really stifled his development, but I could see Detroit wanting him at least for the AHL, if he is willing to sign of course.

I’m not sure he’s even worth an ahl deal. For a topical comparison, Shine was more productive coming out of school (although started a bit later)

I wouldn’t look so much at PPG. Savage is the type of player who has more value than the stat sheet. He could fourth line his way to the NHL.

Knowing that his game was hurt by some kind of nagging injury he was playing through, I would be pretty surprised if he didnt get a contract. He showed good offence last year, played well against peers at the WJC and his game has never been about points. Thats a player that gets signed

MSU is a clear Frozen Four team even without him. They should be able to make it no problem if they play their game in round 1 and 2.
