Holy f***, this guy is the most skilled 13 year old I have ever seen by far! He may be the most impressive stickhandler in the world regardless of age.

It may be early, but is this the next generational talent?

It's impressive to have two of the most hyperbolic sentences in HF history in your two sentence opening paragraph. Well done. The latter may be the worst take I've ever seen here. I guess that part is generational.

Couldn't find his EliteProspects page but I did some digging on Hockey Quebec's website and it seems there is a Philippe Veilleux who played Pee Wee AAA last year with Collège Français. He had 36 pts in 25 games (27 goals and 9 assists) and was the the 9th ranked scorer in the league.

There are people on this website who have definitely seen him play before, so let's see what they have to say

But "seriously" thou, he doesn't even have eliteprospects. com page :naughty:
Really seriously... Do we even know that he becomes a ice hockey player,
eventually that is. 13 years old? He might change his mind.

Nope, not at all. Looks pretty slow.

Do you guys just never watch u14 u15 hockey or how is this impressive?

I'll also say that while I never have exactly been a fan, Aito Iguchi at 13 impressed me much more when it comes to stickhandling.

You are severely, severely underrating the puck handling skills of almost every nhler.

Not healthy to have this kind of thread for a kid.

Can the mods make it so we don't have threads on kids who aren't even old enough to sign up to the site? He's still 3 years from his QMJHL draft. I personally don't think its good for 13-year-olds to be instafamous, but who am I, I grew up on ICQ and MSN messenger.

Oliver Wahlstrom and MEP had threads on here when they were like 8 years old. Its really not that crazy

We've seen way earlier, so no.

Confirmed to be faster than McDavid

Better hands than McDavid isn't impressive for a 13 year old?

If COVID allows it I will try to catch a glimpse of him next month (or later) to see what all the fuss is about

His dad or whoever runs that instagram account isnt doing this kid any favours with those McDavid comparisons.

You say that, but it's bringing him some notoriety... otherwise there wouldn't be a thread about him. That's possibly a favour.

Nah, that's putting unnecessary pressure on a 13-year-old.

Sure, he has impressive individual skills... but that alone will not get you to the NHL.

How does he look in a game? Can he play collectively? What's his on-ice awareness? Can he anticipates on the ice? How is his skating compared to his peers? What kind of person is he?

I do not care if he can dance around guys at 13. Many kids can.

Skill drills can be impressive, but that does not mean he is a good hockey player. Just that he has individual skills. Might be enough to dominate at his age, means squat later if he does not have the proverbial "tool box".

Essentially, setting up an IG account and trying to pimp your 13-year-old is pretty freaking stupid. He'll get the big head AND will face tremendous additional pressure.
