Mackinnon took a delay of game penalty in the last minute of the game and Quebec tied it up to go to OT. Another 3 points though but I'm sure he's not going to forget that penalty anytime soon.

Yes, like I said in another thread, he puts his team on his shoulders... and ends up giving the break Quebec needed.

Hard to believe this kid is only 16... 13 points in 7 playoff games... disgusting.

Goal(game winner), and an assist in a 3-2 win to force a game 6.

Nice winning goal tonight along with an assist in a 3-2 game. Looked pretty good but not his best. Came up big regardless, any hockey fan should make it a priority to see him play if he's in the area, he rarely disappoints.

It is really going to be something when Edmonton drafts Nathan Mackinnon.

WOW!:handclap:

It's the Only way we are ever going to be better since no really good free agents will sign here.

Why would those players re-sign once their contracts are up?

MacKinnon didn't want to play for Drakkar............................. Look at what happened after they drafted him #1 overall.

A Drakkar fan dresses up like a baby to taunt Mackinnon.

Forget about it then about drafting Mackinnon.

Next season hasn't even started and you're already hoping to be the worst team in the league? There is something more than a little wrong with that.

Regardless, MacKinnon is gonna be a stud. Should be out in Halifax for awhile during the regular season next year, can't wait to see him play live! His acceleration with the puck is unreal even on TV, and speed is always so much more impressive in person.

I would be unbelievably embarrassed if I were a Oilers fan if they pick 1st overall again

I'll be embarrassed if we draft Mackinnon. Although I'd probably also be unbelievably excited. Next year would have to be an absolute disaster for us to finish last, but who knows..

Here's the other CHL phenom: Sean Monahan...who visited Nathan MacKinnon lol

:sarcasm: And to believe some people thought this kid was 'made' at the OHL Cup. Kid was pegged Round 2 or 3 by many in the know and was well on his way to stardom in the OHL. A solid OHL Cup improved him a round on average and he's gone on to prove those people right and the naysayers wrong. Kudos to him on his continued success.

MacKinnon does a give and go with Drouin uses his Wheels and skates up ice, Tam can't adjust and MacKinnon fires it in. Metro Center explodes! Lol. His speed is... Wow!

He showed that he's pretty much already better than Grig what with a record number of scouts at the MC during the last three games I think they said

He always does this.... If it was up to him, the Oilers would be drafting first for the next decade. Most Oiler fans are hoping for at least a push towards a playoff spot next season.

Anyway, back on topic. For MacKinnon to be this good at 16 and to play this well in the playoffs at this age against older more experienced players is amazing.
I hope that Halifax makes a big run to the Memorial Cup so i could get a better look at him, doubtful with Saint John's in that league.
Some team (not the Oilers) will be very lucky to get him in the next draft.

Look for the 2013 Mem Cup. Saint John will be no where near that one :) Looking like a two-horse race so far for the 2013 Q finals. Moose and Remps.

Saint John have already won the 2012 Mem Cup :naughty:

If the Oilers got MacKinnon, Nail, along with the three they have now... They'd be... No, I don't even want to think about it. They wouldn't need a goalie or D lol.

But that won't happen, Edmonton won't get a top 5 pick next year.

Too bad it will only last a couple of years.. no way they will be able to afford all of them.

The Funny thing is that the whole post was meant to be

:sarcasm:.

I see the Oilers finishing between 5-11 next year.
