Got his 2nd point of the night to reach the 100 mark on the year for points. Leads the OHL in scoring currently. Next best 98.
Obviously a really pretty goal but you see scouts concern with him on that goal. His pace of play on the goal doesn't look great. At any higher level he easily gets caught. Something he'll need to work on to live up to his potential.
Speed is one of his better assets to be honest... when he wants/needs to use it.
He won the CHL top prospects fastest skater with and without the puck.
I mean, take that play, he is not even pumping his legs, very relaxed, the guy behind is going all out, yet Frost has the time to pretty much stick-handle from the circles in. He keeps the same gap the whole way pretty much even once he stops moving his legs.
At time it would be nice if he played faster... but he is also one of those rare players who can make the game go kind of at his tempo.
Indefinite suspension.
Inexcusable dumbass play but nowhere close to worthy of an “indefinite suspension” unless the guy who got hit died.
The video angle isn’t great but it really doesn’t seem to be excessively hard...why he’s cross checking a random opponent at head level is beyond me but I still don’t understand this “indefinite” thing.Crosscheck in the face with a stick is pretty close to McSorley level of criminal assault.

SSM had a game at 2 today after a game last night so that might be why. Get him out for today’s game & make a full ruling with more time.
Thanks guys, this is more what I was expecting. There’s no way that that play would result in a player being suspended indefinitely, especially not the top player in the league.Someone on the OHL board said the league offices don't open up until Monday so there would be no decision before then. Thats definitely why it is "indefinite". I doubt it will be anything more than a few games.
The OHL does still get silly with their suspension though. Wouldn't be shocked if he still gets hit hard. Thanks guys, this is more what I was expecting. There’s no way that that play would result in a player being suspended indefinitely, especially not the top player in the league.
I mean, yeah. It’s a junior league, and that’s a completely unacceptable play resulting in injury. I’d give him two games, I think it will be five, but I won’t be surprised if it gets up around 10.The OHL does still get silly with their suspension though. Did you see it happen in person? He didnt swing his stick at anyone. Its possible that his crosscheck rode up into him, you don't know. It was also reported that the other guy went to crosscheck Frost as well. And where is this fractured report coming from... I've seen crosschecks in the NHL occur in the neck/head area with the stick breaking and there has never been a suspension.I don't see why he should not get suspended for a long, long time. Being a top player should have nothing to do with it.
Rest of the season + playoffs seem the least they can do. He swung a stick in another kid face, for god sake.
If my kid got his face bleeding/fractured after getting smashed by a stick in the face, you bet I would make sure the other one got sued criminally. I'm sure you would do the same if it happened to yours, even if the guy was a prospect of your favorite NHL club.
Frost is over 18 y old, will have to learn the hard way actions have consequences.

Bleeding =/= a fracture... Quit making hyperboles. The kid was bleeding from the face after getting hit by a stick in the face by another kid. What more do you want?
Try to forget for 2 seconds you are a Fylers fan and that Frost is your prospect. Even better, imagine the Sarnia kid is your son. How would you react?
I mean, c'mon.
"Maybe he did no want to hurt him? Maybe he is a good person? I read the other guy might have been mean to him!".
You guys can't be for real.

You can even see the Grima raise his stick as well before the cross check happened. Its not like Frost just suckered him. They were goin after him all game. But keep callin for murder.
And I'm not a Flyers fan btw.
I still think hitting someone in the face with a stick should put you in court, but that is just my opinion. You can keep thinking otherwise.
