This is true in Canada,but isn't universal in the states. A lot of States go by the school year for cut off dates, and not January 1st.

I was just doing a refresh on some of the guys i liked from last years draft and noticed Luke is having himself another fine season in Wisconson. More than double anyone elses goal totals except Besse who is 3 years his senior.

Looks like Minnesota made the most of their top 100 picks last June. ;)
 
Greenway is doing pretty well at BU, also. Somewhere around PPG, which is pretty good for NCAA, especially for a second rounder. Again, the elephant in the room with him is his huge size and strength.

Kunin has played a fair amount of wing recently. I think that position fits his skillset more.
 
Signed ATO with Iowa.

Good for him to play some pro games before next season and good for Min that there will not be burned year of his ELC.

Good on him on not trying to force Minnesota's hand like some other guys are doing to their teams right now. Although, I could see the benefit in having one more year at Wisc. It will be interesting to see how he does in this AHL sample.
 
I think Kunin is physical enough, but I think he needs to improve his skating. Hopefully his time in the AHL will make that obvious, and he can improve his skating over the summer. His shot is NHL ready.
 
tough to see these types of injuries to young players...I hope he recovers fully, he has the chance to be a pain in the ass in the Central for the next 10 years.
