Very surprised with his success. Didn’t think there was much there when I watched him with the Slovak U18. But if he’s playing with Guenther, that’ll explain it.

At this point all I can do is say: I was extremely wrong about Demek. Never thought he’d be this good.

Nice spot for Demek, he’s been injured, said it was really bad during WJC and could barely sleep. Probably explains why he looked sluggish the whole tournament.
Sounds like he won’t be playing until January though.

yeah that's a great kickstart to the rebuild, imagine conditional picks are if Demek is back as a OA. Still great return even if he isn't

Good to see the Blazers make a big move. IMO they need to make a few more. There are some teams that I feel are quite a bit better than the Blazers this season... I kept wondering if they would pull the trigger sooner rather than later to improve

Obviously they get an automatic berth to the Mem Cup but would still be cool to see them actually win the league

I'm sure they felt some pressure to make a move after Winnipeg – who already have the best team in the league by a fairly large margin in my eyes – added Beaupit and Sward.
