He showed two great tips-in. First just hit the post, second went in (to his own net though).

Jokes aside, he played a solid game, nice start to his hopefully promising NHL career.

He had a few other really nice passes as well that generated chances, he had the breakaway with Milano that he ended up crashing in to the net. He’s was certainly noticeable in the offensive zone in a game where it would have been understandable if he was completely invisible, I think the game tonight though may be much more telling on where he is at as the Ducks hopefully won’t get spanked so bad.

I thought he played very well. Just some small smile plays he made were with zero hesitation and you can see he thinks the game very very well. I would be shocked if he isn’t a legit top 6 player.

No Ducks prospects get talked about other than Zegras, even Drysdale who is 19 years old in his second NHL season is underrated (mind blowing)

Then take into account Thrun, Dostal, Zellweger, Pastujov, McTavish... shit even Tschigerl who I really really liked in camp.

Give me Madden as a GM

I want my team to draft that well

Unfortunately, he did not play. It seems that Tracey took his place.

It's like a tale of two Perraults this year. In his first 11 games he had 15 points. In the next 15 games he had just 3 points. For those that have watched him, what's been the difference?

Remember when Canadian and American posters were fighting over him?

Maybe Hockey Canada knew what they were doing after all.

Was promoted to pro hockey (AHL) too early at 18 yo.
Yep, that could be one of the reasons.

I hope a change of scenery helps him put the pieces together. He makes a highlight-reel play once a month, so there is skill

The age 18 season didn’t matter, it’s the only place he could have played, it’s them not sending him back to junior in his age 19 season that harmed him in my opinion,
Yeah, both prospects involved in this trade were covid victims and had their junior careers disrupted. I think Perreault just lost his love and passion for hockey somewhere along the way. Mysak is a similar case and I wonder if he just should have stayed in Europe. Never really found his role in Laval.

I think this trade makes a lot of sense for both players and both teams. Both players unlikely to crack the NHL but in theory they both have what it takes and it's just a matter of reaching potential. Both of them had no chance to get there though without a change of scenery.

So what’s his main issue ?

0 points in 6 AHL games is ugly
At this point probably confidnece and he has lost so much development time in that he didn't get any better so maybe he should ahve went back to junior after the 20-21 season after all.

Might be a cautionary tale for all those posters that say player X should be in the AHL instead of junior as most players aren't ready for that jump so young.

Not sure if he has a NHL future at this point.
