Was wondering what it would cost to acquire him? Seems like a good bottom-6 guy that can PK but hasn’t seen much success given how bad Anaheim has been as of late.

Is he available, how does he project going forward, and what would he cost?

He has plateaued in recent years from my perspective. He's a decent energy guy - good speed and motor, strong commitment to being on the right side of the puck. But he isn't physical or tenacious enough to be a true standout in that role. Also has struggled in the faceoff circle, which is a problem for the Ducks across the board and almost forces them to replace Lundy with a more proven bottom six C with faceoff ability, if they intend to take a step forward.

Offensively, he was never going to be the most prolific skill player or a true play driver but it feels like offense has become more foreign to him over time. Perhaps something that has been coached out of him to some extent, but he really has shown a lack of feel around the net the last couple years.

I have been saying this for quite some time now but I really think a move to the wing would be best. I do believe somewhere in there is a responsible and hard working two way winger who could put up 30+ points, which is a solid third liner. He needs to be more assertive in driving the net and add more of a physical element, create more space for himself and maybe some offensive opportunities start finding his stick.

There is always the caveat that the Ducks as a whole have spent so much time cratered in their own end in recent years, you never really know for sure what certain guys could do in better surroundings.

I’ll package his rights to move up our later round picks a little

I think best case scenario he turns into a 3c , but seems like a bit of a long shot at this point

He's more than likely available and probably for not that much or in free agency. He's probably better than he shown and will take a step forward on another team (like Sam Steel). But the Ducks have very few spots open and have specific needs... Ducks need some physicality and a guy that can take key draws and that's not Lundestrom.

Feels like one of those players that would get moved just to move up one bracket in the lower end of the draft.

Lundestrom + 6th for a 5th or something along those lines.
Ya or move up a few spots in 2nd or 3rd to target someone that might not be there for our pick.

I think a team would like his game, I just don’t know if he’ll fit Anaheim direction. With 2 young centers in our top 6, I think having 2 vet centers in bottom 6 is smart for us. (While gaucher develops)

I think he's a good "buy low" change of scenery candidate with potential for somebody. He's got the tools and flashes of the ability to be a good speedy 3rd liner, but right now he's one of those guys who is just sorta "there" and with the Ducks situation, i could see them moving his rights for not that much.

He unfortunately looks like he's going to top out as one of those "filler" guys that teams tend to not really value much. Where the offensive skillset isn't terrible, but it's not really Top-6 caliber either. The defensive ability is decent but far from a shutdown stalwart. Lacking the physicality or any sort of faceoff or special teams ace type niche to hang their hat on. Guys like that tend to bounce around once the initial team gives up on them, and find it tough to ever really carve out a steady role. Can be really useful and maybe even underrated in filling out a roster (usually for cheap) though...especially when the have the speed to keep up. Just not valued highly and are always in danger of being replaced by a young player with "upside" and a more defined niche/role.
