Would you look at that. Shvy & Greer combining to make things happen...good thing they didn't get put together earlier in the season, like I wanted :sarcasm:

Seeing his role expand next season should be very interesting now that he's getting comfortable & finding his footing...especially since I'm not expecting Kaut to break camp in the NHL and would love to see those two on a line together for the Eagles.

It was actually a broken line change when Igor scored that goal. I'm pretty sure he hasn't recieved a pass that nice all year. His regular linemates now are ECHL goon Kale Kessy and ECHL callup Josh Dickinson. I also believe he was scratched the last two contests before this but was ill the week before. The Eagles are in vet mode to try to get in the playoffs as well.

I too would like to see any semblance of a plan for Igor. I think part of keeping him down the lineup was to keep him at center, which I do agree with. At times they use him in that role defensively too. But he has not had the chance to let his offense blossom at all, which is real tough for any playmakers on this team like he and Kaut. I'd like Igor to get his shot more accurate because he does have a lot of power behind it and he needs to shoot more too. But I agree that what they do with him to start next year will be very telling if he has any sort of future or not.

I wish this organization didn't suck so hard at developing players in the AHL. Rantanen & Barrie are the only guys that are popping into my mind who actually made good progress (developmentally) while spending extended time with our AHL affiliate; be that the Monsters, Rampage or Eagles. We haven't even been able to use the AHL to prepare depth NHLers, much less polish raw talents like Shvy.

Here's to hoping Timmins can join Mikko & Tboobs in bucking that trend :crossfing

Signed with Spartak until the end of the season after his deal with Metallurg was mutually terminated.
