There's never an opportunity to make this team with Sullivan, man. They keep the bottom-6 stocked to the gills with dogshit journeymen year after year. Puljujarvi's outplayed everyone in the bottom-6 (and some in the top-6) by miles in the minimal opportunity he's been given and he can't land a constant spot in the lineup. /shrug

Though someone mentioned Puljujarvi might be getting a ton of rest time because of his recent hip surgeries so, I dunno. Maybe they're just taking it easy and he'll be getting a permanent spot next year. But that's firmly in the "believe it when I see it" folder.

That's true it would require Dubas to resist giving Mike Sullivan 100 Matt Nietos to play with

Anyway, back to Hallander. In my viewings of him in the AHL he was basically a mix of Hagelin/Hornqvist. Worse at their primary/defining skills, but had better hands.

That's what a writer said about him before he came over. I didn't see any hint of that when he got the couple of NHL games.

I wrote him off so I haven't been keeping up on him. Has his game changed in the SHL?

I don't know about his game in the SHL but that's what it was in the AHL.
