No but Finns have a very strong pride over their history and people. We are among the most patriotic people in the world quite easily. But yeah ofc there are exceptions i mean anything can happen. But chances that Lambert would choose to play for Team Canada are very slim. I will eat my own hat if it were to happen and i would be very very VERY upset.

If we want to discuss Americans, btw, in terms of sports, Americans are much closer to mercenaries than truly patriotic. They tend to care much more about the club teams than the international competition. Compare to Russia, for example.
Simple google search will tell you that haha. Obviously its nothing concrete and its not something you can put a number on but all sources will tell you Americans are the most patriotic
I don't understand your first sentence. But you cant really compare to Americans to any other country because they have 4 major sports, unlike any other country in the world. And out of the 4, hockey (the smallest major sport) is the only one where they are challenged by Euro countries. That's why you think that way, because you are European and don't see our point of view.
Football isn't played internationally, basketball they destroy everyone internationally, baseball only real competition is from DR, South America, Asia. The only truly international sport is soccer, and we suck at soccer

Finns suck even worse at soccer, but see how big a deal it is in Finland that Finland made it to Euros for the first time. "American patriotism" as some ideal is mostly generated by the propaganda caused by America's leading status in the western world. As we can see, it clearly is working on some.
