Both brothers deciding it's time for a change of scenery? Now, his brother is not a player of the caliber that TPS would be looking for, so I wonder. TPS has also been active in recruiting top end draft talent for the final years of development. Is there is still a chance Zetterberg decides to stay closer to home? I have not followed him closely to know what issues there were and whay he wants other than the no SHL callups thing.

Unlikely. The only way he does not attend BU is if he does not meet the academic requirements. It would be extremely unlikely to have a change of heart about 2 months after committing to BU, which I am sure he thought long and hard about.
I believe he had to accelerate some schooling in order to attend BU. But the only way I see him not attending BU is if academics are an issue, which I have yet to hear/see anywhere.
Plus, can always leave BU and go to TPS down the line, but adjusting to NA game would most likely be best for him now than once/if he ever signs a pro contract

Draft was the biggest size queen draft ever relative to league...
only SEVEN Dmen under 6'1 got picked... out of 77.
Zetterberg should have been drafted but Carolina didnt have 15 picks aha.
I kinda saw it coming. I've seen the guy in person and he is tiiiiiny, and his league play didn't make me want to draft him. I was very surprised some people were mocking him late first early second.
He is skilled though. Other tiny players had made it

Its non-selection is logical. He is not dominant enough in terms of his physique to be in a team's top 90 (rank necessary to be selected).
I had him 91st and in a Montreal context with a lot of choices, he would only have come out at rank 210.

That’s a crazy stat. 6’0 is now undersized for a defenseman and you have to be 6’1 or taller, not 6’0 or taller. Good to know.

Funnier still given 2 of the last 10 cup winners had D group that AVERAGED under 6'1. (And 6/10 of the last 10 cup winners had D that were below the NHL average of 6'2.)
It's too early to count out Zetterberg. He's going to BU where I think his pure skill will really shine through. If he was just two inches taller he's a potential first rounder last year, and I could see him being the top overager off the board in 2025.

In a world where the NHL rosters are comprised of the 400+ most purely skilled forwards on the planet, there would be no doubt this kid would find his way. Obviously there are more factors at play, will be interesting to see where he ends up.
Sure but 2 way play and board battles matter and only the elite tiny guys make it, so mnay others fall into the Danil Gushchin type that can light up the AHL but can't really play a top 6 role in the NHL and don't have the other skills to be a very good bottom 6er either.
Nick Robertson is another guy like this hanging on until someone else takes his place.
