Who's playing Center now? Newhook?

Yeah, my guess is Newhook moves to center.

Maybe they just plug Roy in with Laine & Newhook?

Laine - Newhook - Roy

I guess we'll find out. Beck played ok. He was strong defensively, hit & definitely has NHL speed.

I think he should start 4th line RW next year, though.

Heineman - Evans - Beck
Anderson - Dach - Newhook
Laine - XXXXX - Demidov
Caufield - Suzuki - Slafkovsky

If we keep Dach ....

Roy thought he had an NHL gig in the bag at the start of the season then got sent down to the AHL when he wasn't cutting it defensively. He's improved his d game down there but more importantly i hope he's learned not to take his position for granted.
What I saw from Roy was a lack of hustle without the puck, like a lack of desire to try to get it back. He must show more than he did earlier this year if he wants an NHL career.

I think Newhook took most of the draws for the Newhook/Beck/Anderson line on Saturday, and was rarely F1 in the offensive zone. So he pretty much already was playing center.

Yes, Beck started at center but was really struggling, so they switched before 2nd period. Beck actually played well in Calgary once moved to wing. His speed is an asset as is his forechecking /hitting. He doesn't look ready to play center at NHL level, but he can play wing on 4th line.

Heineman, Evans & Beck would be a fast, tough line to play against.
