How did his game look overall, was there any sign of fatigue like someone reported?Nice goal, that's some determination

According to Iltapulu, Barkov had to leave the game due to an injury, but it doesn't say how serious it was, or how it even happened.

As expected, Barkov is back in the line-up for today's game. I still don't know what the injury was, though.

Barkov is a monster. He scored in his first shift of his return. He stole the puck from defenseman deked a goalie and goal. One word, BEAST. No doubt that Barkov is best stickhandler of entire FEL right now. Reminds so much from Datsyuk.

Yeah made the most out of those mistakes.

I really can't believe that this kid is only 16 years old. He's doing all the right things in both zones. Would go top 3 even in 2012.

Not sure if top 3, if Galchenyuk is top 5 pick Barkov should be aswell. Barkov would be best two-way foward of 2012 draft pretty easily. But we have to remember than Barkov is couple weeks away from being 2014 draftee :amazed: i know it's crazy.

At the moment he is a sure lock for TOP 5. Too bad you guys must have your most talented player for years in MacKinnon when I was thinking how we finally got our first overall player.

Well, I should be happy because we are producing some great players in a while (Granlund, Barkov, Armia, Ristolainen etc.)

Damn, Barkov nearly had 2nd goal, goalie made an gamesaver. But Barkov is really good at PP, has the patience with the puck and make nice easy passes to calm down the PP. Doesen't play with an hurry. Really impressive for a guy who turned 16 about three months ago. Veteran touch in his game. Impressive game so far.

It's too bad he is just a week too old for 2014 draft. He would the top candidate for first overall pick.

If he just keeps getting better like he has done so far, he will go 1st. He's like dream player for every coach out there i mean really every single coach i asked so far one would love to build team around this guy.

MacKinnon could be player who would score bit more points but Barkov is an player who has no weaknesses. He has high-end off offensive skills, elite vision, very smart and mature player. His positioning in defensive zone is spotless. I love his ability to make more space to his linemates and take away space from puck posession guy from other team. Barkov is as good at defense as offense. If this guy developes like he should, he's perennial selke candidate for sure. Very good cornerstone player for the future of any team. An player who plays all situations, he has leadership, he has everything. No doubt that MacKinnon is good aswell but he's not even close to Barkov at overall game. I think that it's good race for #1 overall just because Barkov plays in europe. Not suprised if Barkov is considered as #1 overall after WJC at NA. Based on this game Barkov>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Armia at this point and Barkov is over 2 years younger.

Dude calm down. He's great and will most probably be a top 5 pick, but you seriously over-hype every Finnish prospect you like.
