I do think unless Samsonov finds form he is hitting the waiver wire in the new year. If Jones is playing better for us, I think the play is to waive Samsonov and see if you can find an upgrade on Jones for the TDL and if not, hope the demotion wakes up Sammy and gets him going again.

Added bonus that the money saved by demoting Samsonov pays for Woll to come off LTIR. I don't see how this doesn't happen.

I just don't see why the refs would have something against Toronto. I don't buy in to the conspiracy theories.
I don't think it's a conspiracy theory, nor do I think they are consciously doing it. But, there are several reasons I can think of:

1. Some refs grew up hating Canada's team and subconsciously neglect calls
2. Some want to appear unbiased towards a popular team in a high profile city and therefore are hesitant to call close ones for us
3. Some refs hold grudges for things that may have happened in the past (McCauley)
4. Some are incompetent and we're just unlucky to have those boobs mess up more of our games

Yea, all those things can definitely exist. These are human refs after all. Good points.

Why the heck is Brodie playing left side while McCabe is playing right side?

Brodie has played most of his career on right side and McCabe left side

is this typo in the tweet or Galaxy Braining by Keefe?

P.S. Get 2 points ffs

With Samsonov in net I’m worried already

Team will need to either give up 0 dangerous chances, and hope that Samsonov can limit the routine botches to under 3 with a couple hitting the post and not in the net. Or the teams gonna have to score 5 or more

Either way I’m not confident in Samsonov at all

Sabres got embarrassed last game and will want to make amends
Leafs always play great in Buffalo
Sammy in net

Think I will keep my money in my wallet for this one.

Be interesting to see the home/road split on hits. Often such a subjective stat based on who is calling it.

edit: Right, as @Stephen is saying lol.. did not watch MSG broadcast.. maybe I'll look it up
Pretty sure someone posted them the other day and we were 1st at home and 31st on the road.

Relative to the league we are hitting more, but relative to last year we are hitting less...

Weird how much more hitting there was last year compared to this year.

This year: 20.39/60
Last year: 21.45/60

Will be curious to see what Bourne is talking about... the only logical thing is how hitting is down league wide and the Leafs are hitting slightly less than last year... I can see him saying something about "Look, this is the snot that they brought in going to work"

Hate that logic, he doesn't have to play. If he wanted to play, do your job. The other guy has been way better. Hope he shows up tonight. I expect motion sickness watching him.

How does that break down for other teams, aren't they all homers? It's a weird stat, but I do like that Vegas and the Canucks are also in the top 5 this year.
