Bump and Kaplan

Bump seemed like the perfect candidate to get in that last game of the season to get a feel for things. That's too bad but he'll get that 1st NHL game in sooner or later

Bump may be betting on himself to the get up to the new CBA. Charlie seems surprised Kaplan signed but I guess they didn’t want him to play out his senior year.

Wonder if there's anything to read into that difference.
Maybe they gave them the option. I do believe the AHL has a roster limit on how many non-AHL vets can play so maybe both of them couldn't go.

I am also wondering if on the fringe prospects if they are giving them a 2-year prove it window, if they don't perform they can just let them go quicker.

I wonder if they take a Flyer on Owen Michaels, Bumps teammate at WMU
Dunno. He did great in the championship game. Sam Colangelo is WM alum too; 2nd rd pick of Ducks, big boy too, looked him up only 9 goals. WM is definitely a North South team. BU was an East West team. WM said FU, I’m just going to skate through you or FU up in the corners. Funny, how Kaplan was really one of the BU players that had a FU attitude during the game.

I mean, Bump probably has an outside chance of being a NHL player.

Kaplan is Phantom fodder honestly. Read an article on him stating he plays like a hard nose power forward so that pretty much confirms why the Flyers signed him and playing him tomorrow.

Bump is a 5th rounder…

No point to shit on a guy when he’s already far exceeded his projections. Doesn’t look like he’ll be anything crazy at the NHL level, the point still stands.

Playing Kaplan tomorrow hurts the Flyers chances at winning a game they must lose, so I love it.
