This year is different because I think the team understands there's less whining about this. One question. Did you ever doubt the goal would be taken back. We're you sure? My own take is its possible that the goal was going to stand. Its what I felt.
The NHL and most leagues create their own problems when going into interpretive or subjective areas. Did Bennett fall on purpose into Skinner, or was he pushed. Could even be that both occurred, which is more salient precursor.
The trouble is we can't mind read, and the NHL isn't into priors in such reviews and that this isn't a court of law tribunal where you can take weeks or years to make a decision and still get it wrong.
The fact that its interpretive and subjective goes into gray area where you can't be sure.
I mean this isn't even remotely comparable to the Kesler play. just saying.
Maybe the league should review priors but I think its clear they don't do that.
But its further reason why the Oilers shouldn't have challenged. It wasn't going to be a clear outcome.
10/10 nah, You know it isn't that.
We can "accidentally-on-purpose" fall on Bob too.
We can test to see who has the better goalie depth if that's the game they wanna play.
