another game where I don’t see the point of playing Janmark
he broke up a few scoring plays including a tap in feed to Rantanen I believe it was. Janmark got a stick on it otherwise its in the net. Was a tap in empty goal if he doesn't get that. Broke up rushes, played good on pk, can't produce a drop of offense to save his life....

But his D instincts are pretty damned solid.

One sobering thing is the Stars basically played one period tonight. The Oilers lately have been susceptible to teams taking the puck to our net and making plays around our net. Soon as Stars rolled up sleeves and just played no nonsense and winning puck battles they were caving us.

Even in these W's I remember the Ducks caving this D and goaltending. I dunno. Sure we'll get Ekholm back but not the viking he's been. He hasn't been that this season. Lots of puck watching from both teams defending. Lots of panic too.

This won't be good for anybodies blood pressure but here we are.
With this club complete games are a rarity and I don't think we'll see much change. Have to sit back and enjoy it. I turn it off when I get too nervous. Wife says she's moving out if I destroy one more remote.

I didn't see it that way at all to be honest. Stars had like 3 good chances in the 3rd. Skinner just only made one save on those 3 chances and then he also kicked a rebound in off Emberson.

The Oilers gave up 2 shots on net in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Walman Szn 😎

Don't want a close game like that but honestly...what goal was an absolute bad one from Skinner??

That Benn shot was top notch from behind a screen. Another off a dman. Rants in the slot.....again
The two goals that definitely can't be blamed on him were the second and fourth goals.

The Rantanen goal was a failure on the PK to let a pass through the middle land on the stick of a 50 goal scorer for a one timer. It's basically how Draisaitl scores most of his PP goals and no one around here ever calls those weak or says the goalie should've had it.

The fourth goal was just a straight up own goal by Emberson.

This what im saying Spawn. This won't help at all playing 40 minutes when the ice gets smaller and more defensive. We got two points but effectively lost our momentum ...all Dallas needed was 5 more minutes.
Dallas had 2 shots on net in the final 10 minutes of the game. The Oilers were hardly hanging on for dear life at the end. One bad bounce and an anti-clutch goalie made the 3rd look bad. But the team was playing fine.

Lost our momentum? Which locker room do you think is happy right now? The one that won or the one that could have won?

Ridiculous.

The Stars had a few sequences in third where it looked like they had a PP. Yeah they don't get a lot on net, and Stars don't always take a lot of shots but they sure got us running around. Oilers kind of froze, not a great sign, when Stars got 2nd goal. Team can't be like that. Allowing Stars to get back in it. Skinner made some stops too. Stars sure got all the looks they wanted in third. Some missed too.

Yeah, no way I blame that goal on Skinner or Emberson. Pretty much just a bad break. I'm just trying to be fair. Skinner put that rebound away from net. It should be to the boards but just unlucky on that one.

But this is who the Stars are too. Can play most of a game looking like they'll never bag an EV goal and then suddenly they pounce. Very much what they are.

Not a great game from Emberson

Complaining about Skinner tonight is insane. One complete fluke and three goals he had no shot on. He literally did the thing everyone says he can’t do, which is make the big, athletic save on a sure goal.

Can still think he sucks, and acknowledge he did his job tonight.

Walman looked awesome, looking forward to watching him hopefully for a few years. Seems like an exciting player.
