Important to note there was a clear as day tripping on Armia right before the gwg that usually would have been called easily by almost all NHL ref. It was a pretty easy call to make after that 4 minutes penalty to Dach. That tripping was a key play in the goal it removed Armia from the play and it became 5 on 3.

We have another several years of misses before we’re where Buffalo currently are. I have faith in this core to not get to that point.

I have less faith in the coaching staff to put the players in the position to succeed which i fear will hinder progression. Buffalos carousel of bad coaches hurt then

Buffalo has missed the playoffs for 13 consecutives years (gobba be 14 this year). This year gonna be the 4th consecutive years we miss (1 of them is on the previous management). I mean we are really far from those 14 years. If there's no progression next year in 2025-26 with Demidov then people can start to worry a bit but this year is the 3rd full year of KH it's way to early to be that negative.
They were 2 points away from TB when it started so they were very far ahead.
My personal expectations is playoffs not next year, but the one after. 2026-2027.
Then the team is seen as a true contender in 2030.
Nick/Cole are great, but they’re not doing anything with a bunch of kids on their ELC. Once Slaf/Hutson/Demidov/Beck/Reinbacher/Mailloux/Hage and our pick this year all graduate and reach their mid-20s is when the real fun starts. I think we’ll start competing when Nick/Cole are in their late 20s.
