Another point by Boston, and another 2 for Florida last night. Looks like 3rd is our spot unless inexplicably Tampa or Detroit catch us.

The Leafs have been a better team on the road… home ice doesn’t seem like a huge deal.

Not to mention there is still 20 games left. Win the next 2 and they’re 5 points back of Boston with 2 games in hand.

This place man, the sky is always falling

Who says my post was negative? It was just an observation. I don’t care where they finish. Yes, you’re right. If we win both games on this back-to – back we are 5 points back of Boston. 5 points would still seem like a lot to make up.

This is the time of year that no trade or movement clauses have an unintended effect. It seems to give our big guns time to relax, reduces their play and Buffalo kicks our butt.
Games get physically more demanding in pre playoffs. Reaves, McMann, Benoit, Knies, Boosh become more important as playoff preview.
The problem becomes Mitchy, AM , WN begin to skate farther from the net.

Let’s take a minute and have a look back at how we got to that ECF, and appreciate the sportsmanship shown here by Danny Markov (gotta make it to the end of clip).

L.R. : 10 out of 10 Python points for content in OP, a high, rarely obtained bar.

Samsonov starts. Weird

Woll gets Boston again tomorrow?
Strange goaltending decisions, but I'm sure there must be some logic to it. It certainly makes it look like the coaching staff has already tagged Woll as the number one goalie.

I think it's safe to say Sammy is unlikely good enough to be counted on to be strong in the playoffs.

Woll..... well, I guess they are hoping, and getting him games is the only way to get him ready. Woll against Buffalo, Sammy against Boston seems likely.

But it sounds like Samsonov tonight, which means Woll against Boston again. Bit of a head-scratcher if that is the case.

Wonder if this will put him into another mental crisis, if they have any hope they need both goalies firing on all cylinders…….

Better to platoon them, neither are a true number one goalie at this point……..

I don't really know why it's a head scratcher... I mean both are about the same at this point... Woll played the last game, it's Sammy's turn. They will take turns, until someone seizes the net.

We were expecting Sammy for the Boston game, weren't we, from the morning skate? Might not know until game time here whos net it is.

I wasn't following closely but didn't it sound like Sammy on Monday, but then it was Woll who played?

I think it is odd to see Woll get both Boston games (assuming Samsonov plays tonight). I would have expected either the opposite or for them to split the Boston games.

ECF Preview  "Our rebuild is 2 years ahead of yours" good times, we need a W here though, Boston picked up 3/4 points.
