I'm not sure there is any comparison for that 2012 LA team. They didn't just win - they absolutely dominated all four teams they faced.

He's a good kid and doing fine for a rookie but I also wonder what playing with Matthews and Marner will do to his development in a negative way... He makes a lot of 'superstar' kind of plays with those guys. There's going to be pros and cons for developing that way, but will TBD whether it's the best use of his skillset.

Exactly. That was one of the most dominating playoff performances we've seen in decades, I find it hard to believe anyone would question that they were the best team. I mean if the regular season is all that matters and you ignore playoffs completely, OK then but as I said earlier, there's maybe 6 people in the world who look at it that way and that's fine.
