I have no problem with the roster. On paper, we're a very good team. I just dont think that a) the players are being used appropriately and do their potential, and b) the system sucks. Are we a grinding team??? really??? a dump and chase team???

I disagree. Our roster is not that great. Our depth on the wings is non existant and we still do not have stability at centre, or a competent bang and crash fourth line. Half the roster consists of AHL players.

... or don't punish players?

It doesn't help anybody - if a player consistently and constantly goes against your tactics or instructions you bench him for the game, not during the game and hurt your team.

Negative reinforcement rarely works - this is the kinda unintellectualism that really turns me off of Therrien but I'm sure most coaches are "old-school" like this.

Actually, not a lot of them are like that.

Most coaches have moved towards a more player-friendly approach. See Hitchcock.

Don't understand why we are playing midget career AHLers. Thomas and Dumont will never make it.

Compared to the Sabres entire roster of AHL players.

I agree. Also, singling out any player after that first is unfair.

On TSN tonight they said that Nolan has gone so far as to tell the guys to play hard because some contending team might want to pick them up if they play well...
That's pretty sad.

I have respect for Nolan though, I hope the young players are aware of the unique situation and don't develop bad professional habits. Buffalo is a good, deserving city.

Wow, talk about soft matchups. DD's line is playing against the Sabres 4th line.
What are the lines currently?

Thomas has been double shifted on Eller and Pacioretty's line. Weise is with Dumont and Prust. Gallagher, DD, Galchenyuk.

Sekac is back now. First shft at ES in the 2nd.

The Hitchnaissance has been quite a sight to see. I'm happy for him, a great coach.

I missed the first, fell asleep giving those "ASMR" videos a try. Really creepy ****.

The thomas experiment has been a mystery to me since day #1. I said so at the time, and I keep saying it because I keep not understanding what the **** is up with that. A **** prospect with next to no chance of ever becoming anything that we didn't even draft and who has sucked in the pros since day one and keeps sucking. Do not understand the fascination.

I agree, but everytime I say something bad about Thomas, he gets a scoring chance. So I've learned to shut up lol.
